What education issue is on your radar, and why?
Quality of Education because it directly impacts Student Performance.
What do you hope to change about the education system?
1. Less rhetoric, more reality.
2. Greater emphasis on exploring knowledge and resource sharing opportunities between school boards, public & private enterprise, and education communities worldwide.
3. Increased attention to identifying, and implementing successful teaching methods, and technology/hardware & software available to assist Educators in the classroom and both Students and Parents at home.
Why do you want to be a school board trustee?
My reason for wanting to be a school board trustee is first based on my desire to serve on, and guide the TVDSB towards placing more value on parental input no matter the issue, and recognizing the value of drawing from the knowledge Principals, Teachers, and other learning support professionals in our schools gain on a daily basis.
My desire to be a school board trustee is also based on giving voters a choice to vote for a candidate who they can be confident will be an effective and dedicated trustee representing students, parents, caregivers, and members of our school community at large.
